Company History

1970, St. Paul opened as a data processing firm for the accounting firm of Graf, Hesse, and Hartlove on St. Paul Street, Baltimore, Maryland.

1972, St. Paul moved offices to Wilmarco Avenue, Baltimore, Maryland.

1974, St. Paul moved offices to Hospital Dr, Glen Burnie, Maryland.

1974, St. Paul began our Health Care line by conducting work for Baltimore Washington Medical Center (then, North Arundel Hospital).

1989, St. Paul began processing data for the Maryland Health Services Cost Review Commission (HSCRC). St. Paul successfully processed the State Inpatient data on the HSCRC system at NIH using a large remote IBM mainframe.

1992, St. Paul successfully designed, programmed and produced the HSCRC’s Psychiatric CaseMix System, which ran on a large PC. Using today’s technology, St. Paul still processes the State Psychiatric data on this program.

1993, St. Paul successfully designed, programmed, and produced the HSCRC’s Inpatient CaseMix System, which ran on a large PC. Using today’s technology, St. Paul still processes the State Inpatient data on this program.

1995, St. Paul successfully designed, programmed, and implemented the HSCRC’s Ambulatory Surgery CaseMix System, which ran on a large PC. Using today’s technology, St. Paul still processes the State Ambulatory Surgery data on this program.

1997, St. Paul successfully designed, programmed, and implemented the HSCRC’s Ambulatory Care CaseMix System, which handled 2,000,000 abstract records per year. St. Paul is currently processing the State Ambulatory Care data with this program.

1998, St. Paul added Network Infrastructure and Security Products and Services – beginning the era of Certified Strategic Partnerships with the industry’s leading technology support partners available at that time. St. Paul’s Networking division developed expertise with certifications from RedHat Linux, Netscreen Firewalls, and Consul Technologies. Additionally, St. Paul team members refined their education by obtaining highly coveted certifications including: Cisco Certified Network Professional; Cicso Certified Design Professional; Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer; and Microsoft Certified Systems Developer.”

2000, St. Paul worked directly with the HSCRC and hospital consultants to design, program and integrate CMI/CPC systems that have replaced the old GIR reimbursement methodologies.

2002, St. Paul successfully designed, programmed, and implemented the HSCRC’s Chronic Care CaseMix System.

2005, St. Paul worked directly with the HSCRC and hospital consultants to design, program and integrate new statewide APR CMI/CPC systems for inpatient reimbursement.

2007, St. Paul successfully designed, programmed, and implemented the HSCRC’s Outpatient CaseMix System, which handles 6,000,000 abstract records per year.

2008, St. Paul worked directly with the HSCRC and hospital consultants to design, program and integrate the new statewide GOR APG CMI/CPV systems that calculates Outpatient reimbursement levels at Maryland hospitals.

2010, St. Paul Computer Center celebrates its 40th Anniversary and announced a new logo, an updated website, and began trading as, The St. Paul Group.

2010, St. Paul redefined their product and service niches. The data reporting group was reorganized as the Data Analytics Team. St. Paul’s network infrastructure group was reorganized as the Connectivity Solutions Team.

2011, St. Paul introduced their presence on Facebook with pages for Data Analytics as well as Connectivity Solutions
